The Sock Factory is directly supported by The Compound, Inc., an artist-run nonprofit in Baltimore, MD.
The Compound supports individual and collective production of experimental cultural, social, and urban spaces. Prioritizing affordability and sustainability, we provide spaces to Baltimore’s artists and artisans.
By donating to the Compound, Inc. through this link, your contribution will go directly and exclusively to the development of the Sock Factory.
Donation Tiers

For a donation between $5,000 and $20,000 you will be deemed a “Contributor” to our apprenticeship program allowing each of our artists to work in their specified discipline while they mentor local youth apprentices from the community, creating various pieces of art. In exchange for your generous donation, you will receive a limited edition work of art signed by one of the Sock Factory's founding artists.

For a donation between $50,000 and $199,999, you will be deemed a “Patron” and a shared wall inside The Sock Factory will list your designated names (up to two lines and/or names) or organization’s name as “Patron”. Your designated names will also be listed as “Patron” on the organizations website and all formal documentation issued where Founding Patrons are included in perpetuity.
All patrons at each level will receive will receive a limited edition work of artr created by one of our founding artists along with VIP studio visits with participating artists and additionally receive invites to all Sock Factory events, art openings, exhibitions, talks with priority seating/access.

or a donation between $200,000 and $499,999, you will be deemed a “Contributing Patron” and A shared wall inside The Sock Factory will list your designated names (up to two lines and/or names) or organization’s name as “Contributing Patron”. Your designated names will also be listed as “Contributing Patron” on the organizations website and all formal documentation issued where Founding Patrons are included in perpetuity.

For a donation of $500,000 or greater, you will be deemed a “Founding Patron” and a dedicated art studio room or gathering space (ie: lobby, café, etc) will be named in your honor with a plaque stating your designated names of yourself or your organization as “Founding Patron” will be displayed in this location inside The Sock Factory in perpetuity. Your designated names will also be listed as “Founding Patron” on the organizations website and all formal documentation issued where Founding Patrons are included in perpetuity.
